Vintage Notes
Although the season kicked off two weeks later than usual, the long,
cool 2023 growing cycle across California’s coastal and interior valleys
delivered optimal conditions for a pure, laser focused Cabernet
Sauvignon. Above average yields were balanced by favorable late
season warmth, granting extra hang time that ensured fruit uniformly
met our exacting quality standards.
Winemaker Notes
Close coordination between our vineyard and winery teams ensured
the timely harvest, sorting, and processing of optimally ripe fruit under
ideal conditions. Fermentations were carefully managed to extract
balanced tannins and color, followed by extended maceration to build
structure. Oak aging and blending were continuously monitored and
adjusted to highlight the wine’s varietal integrity.
Tasting Notes
As the 2023 Grounded Cabernet Sauvignon opens on the palate,
flavors of ripe cassis, black cherry, vanilla, and a subtle hint of clove
unfold on the palate. Luxurious, fine grained tannins provide structural
depth and support, culminating in a generous, lingering finish that
